Why I Photograph Women and Non-Binary Humans

I created Boudoir by Kate because I saw how many women and non-binary humans struggle to truly see their own beauty. As a boudoir photographer in Denver and Boulder, I’ve worked with women of all ages, backgrounds, and stories, and I’ve learned something powerful: Confidence isn’t something you have to earn. It’s something you can rediscover.

My work is about helping you see yourself the way others already do—strong, radiant, and enough exactly as you are.

a little more about me

I’ve had a passion for photography since I was a little kid and my parents bought me my first Polaroid Captiva for Christmas. I’ve lived in New Hampshire, California, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Florida, and Colorado. Throughout a life of what sometimes felt like too much movement, photography has always been my constant. My camera was my friend when I was the new kid. We grew pretty close.

Me and my wife, Alice, met in Denver in 2012 playing poker at a bar. By the end of 2013 we were dating, and in 2019 we eloped in San Diego. We still love playing poker, and travel as often as we can. Some of our favorite places we’ve been include Thailand, Portugal, and Spain!

We have two dorky, hilarious, and wonderfully loving dogs together. Henry is our first born. He loves wrestling with his brother, judging people with his token side eye, and feeling the wind on his face. He hates having his ears cleaned, strawberries, and when his moms leave. Archie is our rescue from the streets of Texas. He loves snuggles, every kind of food, and slow dancing with his mom. He hates baths, haircuts, and thunder (but the snuggles help). They completed our family and we love them with our whole hearts.
